Brian has served as a trial attorney for more than 27 years; beginning his career as an Assistant District Attorney in Rockland County, New York. He was the Managing Attorney of a Zurich American Staff Legal office for 4 years, as well as Chief Trial Counsel and Senior Trial Attorney for several other house counsel offices. Brian has tried more than 75 civil jury cases to various stages including verdict, settlement and voluntary discontin- uance.

Brian has handled all phases of civil litigation throughout his career. Since 1987 he has tried numerous civil cases defending individuals and companies. He has lectured for various insurance companies on topics such as New York State Labor Law; prior notice and municipal liability. Brian successfully argued a number of appeals before the Appellate Division in both the First and Second Departments. He authored the summary judgment motion that lead to the landmark Court of Appeals decision in Narducci v. Manhasset Bay Assoc., 96 N.Y.2d 259which significantly curtailed the types of accidents covered by New York Labor Law section 240. 

Since becoming associated with the firm Brian has continued to handle high exposure, complex litigation, representing the insured’s of several insurance carriers and a number of large self-insured companies in the New York courts.
